Arts & Crafts Wicker Furniture
The transition from Victorian to the Arts & Crafts style came about as the Art Noveau movement received only a passing glance from wicker designers.
The design of Dryad wicker in England ushers in a comfortable, yet austere, design that became the theme of Gustav Stickleyís mission style furniture. There was a great popularity for a more rustic look and areas like Bar Harbor, Cape Cod, Newport, and the Hamptons all had their influence in the various looks of this new, more home-style, wicker.
