Art Deco Wicker Furniture
The Art Deco movement influenced wicker design during the 1920ís. Fluid lines, sculpted arms, and pedestal table bases became more prominent in wicker showrooms as Art Deco became more popular.
Much of the Art Deco wicker was machine made and upholstery and painted color schemes soon became popular. The introduction of dining furniture, lamps, porch swings, and all manner of accessories made it possible to outfit an entire house in woven furniture. The distinctive look of the Art Deco movement influenced some of the most timeless designs seen in wicker today.
